[… The Palazzo delle Papesse in Siena, attributed to Bernardo Rossellino and now the Centre of Contemporary Art, was adapted to include a new ticket office and a cafeteria in its entrance hall. The project achieves a happy synthesis between the urban context, the historical context, and contemporary functionality. The project seeks to form a relationship with the exterior of the building, linking them together by keeping the same flooring throughout the ground floor, which is in conceptual continuity with the urban flagstones.
